Chicago Traders starter Wes Stolz had all his pitches working at Blockbuster Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-2 Chicago win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters. Stolz got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 5 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Traders, at 22-18, sit in third place in the National Baseball League Western Division.
With Chicago trailing 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Stolz hit a sinker from Billy Duprey for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Traders ahead, 3-2.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
