Seagulls Suffer One-Run Loss at Los Angeles
San Vicente Park hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

Getting an impressive start from Dave Wynn, Los Angeles beat San Francisco by the score of 1-0. The loss drops the Seagulls to 2-3.

Bobby Bridges drew 1 walk for Los Angeles. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Bridges, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1970 draft, had a clutch at-bat. Facing San Francisco hurler Arturo Lopez, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Pobladores a 1-0 lead.

"Dave is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson.
