Bulls Score Late to Nip Blockbusters, 6-5
|
The Kansas City Bulls topped the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 6-5, with third baseman Larry Moses playing a big role. Moses went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Bulls in the win. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Bob Crosby in relief. His record improves to 4-6. Wayne Guilmette took the loss. Kansas City is 4th in the National Baseball League Western Division with a record of 25-23.
Moses broke a deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly, putting Kansas City up, 6-5.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Moses told the Kansas City Chronicle.
