At Sam Houston Field, the Houston Drillers and San Francisco Seagulls were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The San Francisco Seagulls thumped the Houston Drillers, 9-2, at Sam Houston Field. Scott Wagner was a big reason his team got the win. Wagner hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The second-place Seagulls now sit at 30-21.

San Francisco center fielder Jose Sosa contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a slider to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 4-0.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Wagner.
