The Dallas Wranglers put one in the win column with an opening day 4-3 triumph over the San Francisco Seagulls. The crowd at Bluff Park watched Dave Young put on a fine performance.

Wayne Penrod was the walk-off hero for Dallas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wranglers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Now that's my kind of ending," said a smiling Young.
