Strange Lifts Hawks to 6-3 Triumph
The Chicago Hawks reigned over the Twin Cities Northmen in damp conditions.

The Chicago Hawks defeated the Twin Cities Northmen by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Bobby Strange. Strange was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Hawks on the day. Twin Cities falls to 2-4.

Don Bozza came through with a big-time hit for Chicago. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Chicago manager Mike Flaherty.
