Chicago Wins, Greenlee goes 4-for-4
|
Led by Tom Greenlee, the Chicago Hawks downed the Seattle Emeralds, 6-5. Greenlee was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Hawks. Chicago pitcher Carl Taylor got the win, upping his record to 4-5. Dusty Solomon got the loss. Armando Estrada got the save, the 6th for him this season.
Chicago took a 6-2 lead on Greenlee's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Danny German in the top of the seventh, propelled Chicago to the win.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Chicago manager Mike Flaherty.
The second-place Hawks have won 6 in a row.
