Cincinnati Packers left-hander Alex Fonseca pitched a good game against the St. Louis Explorers at Corps of Discovery Stadium, leading his team to victory, 6-1. Cincinnati is third in the National Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 33-27.

Regardless of the outcome, those who came to Corps of Discovery Stadium for the National Baseball League contest enjoyed being there.

"Sometimes it sounds simple, but you have to go out there and pitch and execute," said Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch. "Alex pitched his heart out."
