Industrials Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The rain could not keep the Castle Point Field crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The inspired effort of St. Louis catcher Walter Marshall was not enough to prevent a 17-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Industrials. Marshall slugged 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Pittsburgh improves to 54-28 with the win. They lead their division by 9 games.

This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the 15th, Willard Quattlebaum hit a sacrifice fly. The Industrials took the lead, 17-16.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Quattlebaum.
