The Dallas Wranglers satisfied the home crowd at Bluff Park, treating them to a season-opening win, 2-1, over the Toronto Hurons. Starting Pitcher Dario Perez was the standout performer for Dallas. Earning his 1st save of the year was Warren Washington.
Rodney Holt, who finished 5th in the NBL in stolen bases with 16 in 1950, aided the Dallas cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Holt. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
