St. Louis got a strong outing from Marty Clark as the Explorers defeated the Milwaukee Dairymen, 4-1, at Corps of Discovery Stadium. Picking up the save was Bernie Tate, his 10th. With the win, the Explorers hiked their record to 35-33.
The Explorers picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
Clark called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
