Explorers Win, 7-4, Versus Milwaukee
The St. Louis Explorers picked up a win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, topping the Milwaukee Dairymen, 7-4. On the mound for St. Louis was right-hander Dick Lott. He played a principal role in the triumph. By defeating Milwaukee, the 6th-place Explorers improved to 30-38.

Ken Osterhage came through with a big-time hit for St. Louis. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the 14th inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Osterhage. "You've got to get results."
