Pittsburgh Industrials starter Mike Gresley turned in an exceptional performance against the Washington Eagles at Monument Field, resulting in a Pittsburgh win, 3-0. John Fagan closed the game out for Pittsburgh, earning his 2nd save. Pittsburgh raised its record to 40-29 with the win.

Don Keough, who finished 4th in the NBL in runs with 106 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Keough contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Pittsburgh up, 3-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Keough told the Pittsburgh Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
