Dallas Gets 5-3 Win
|
Dallas rode a decent outing from starter Ken Morrison to victory over the Chicago Hawks. The final score was 5-3. Morrison, now 10-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The Wranglers have an impressive 49-19 record.
It could have been a different outcome for Dallas, had it not been for John Hammit, the 24-year old third baseman . Hammit contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Dallas up, 1-0.
"Nervous? No," said Hammit. "It was my time to shine."
