Espinoza Throws 4-Hitter En Route to 6-1 Knickerbockers Win
The New York Knickerbockers went home winners at Blockbuster Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Jose Espinoza. Espinoza stifled the Los Angeles Blockbusters, enabling New York to grab the 6-1 win. New York's record now stands at 39-31, placing them second in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

Espinoza, the winner, is now 6-7. In 9 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while collecting 5 Ks. He essentially shut down the Los Angeles offense.

"We had a nice day," said New York skipper William Bowen.
