Behind a solid performance from second baseman Frankie Novy, the Montreal Habitants defeated the Baltimore Lords, 6-3. Novy went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Habitants. The winning pitcher was Erv Koenig. He tossed 103 pitches over 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. The Habitants win now puts them at 35-35.

With Montreal trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Novy hit a curveball from Kenny Wilson for a bases-clearing double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Habitants ahead, 3-1.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Novy told the Montreal Daily News.
