The Milwaukee Dairymen, despite a fine performance by Denver pitcher Keith Williams, grabbed a 3-2 win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Williams allowed 1 run over 6 innings. Archie Sereni earned the save for Milwaukee, his 12th of the year. By defeating Denver, the last-place Dairymen improved to 31-43.

Champ Arkle helped out the Milwaukee cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3 with a walk.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
