Season Possibly Over for Ron Woods Tuesday, May 4th , 1976 When Chicago starting pitcher Ron Woods was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Hawks-Terriers game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Woods had sustained a torn tendon in his elbow and will be out for about 8 months.
