Bernie Zamora Out for Season
Sunday, May 6th, 1951
The season is apparently over for Bernie Zamora. The Chicago Hawks medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 10-11 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Zamora was hurt in the game against Toronto while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.

To this point in the season, Zamora shows a 1-2 record, 5 starts, 38.2 innings, 23 strikeouts and a 3.03 ERA.
