Van der Pas Sparkles, Blanks Seattle Wednesday, May 16th, 1951 Steve Van der Pas of the Montreal Habitants was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Seattle Emeralds, 7-0. "He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Montreal manager Henry McMullen said later. "When Steve does that, good things happen."
