Myers Skunks Washington, 2-0 Sunday, May 9th , 1965 The Dallas Wranglers did little to support starter Mike Myers against the Washington Rough Riders, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Rough Riders, striking out 6 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Myers allowed Dallas to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Mike, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Myers told BNN reporters following the win.
