Torre Shuts Out Quakers, 4-0 Saturday, April 29th , 1967 Dave Torre shut down the Philadelphia Quakers today, blanking them 4-0 on 2 hits, ringing up 13 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. The New York Knickerbockers pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Torre said after the game.
