5-Hit Blitz by Wynn Sunday, May 28th , 1967 Dave Wynn had an answer for everything the New York Empires threw at him today at Queens Field. The Detroit left fielder went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Wolverines on top, 7-4. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Wynn said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Dave Wynn singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
