Hurons Blank Habitants, Partridge Wins Friday, August 9th, 1957 It wasn't easy but Sam Partridge made it look that way. Partridge silenced the Montreal Habitants, 9-0, in a Toronto Hurons triumph at LaSalle Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Partridge said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
