Burkholder Records 2-0 Shutout Against Atlanta

In a remarkable performance, Seattle Emeralds starter Pat Burkholder beat the Atlanta Generals, 2-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Emeralds hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Atlanta manager Philipe Yazzie said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
His record this season is 6-0 in 6 starts and Burkholder has a 1.97 ERA.
