Boone Wins ABL Player of the Week Prize Monday, April 22nd , 1974 When it came to hitting the baseball, Freddie Boone had few peers in the American Baseball League this past week. The talented left fielder for Seattle tagged opposing pitchers for a .522 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award.
