In a game played at San Vicente Park, the Los Angeles shortstop blistered the Houston Drillers for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 8-7 victory. "Booker was too tough to get out," Drillers skipper Tom Harrington said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
