Darch Baffles St. Louis Batters Tuesday, May 24th , 1977 In a seemingly effortless performance, Paul Darch of the Cleveland Bobcats shot down the St. Louis Explorers, 7-0, on 6 hits. "Paul was just locating so well and using his pitches," Cleveland manager Daniel Mays said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Darch recorded 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," St. Louis manager Ray Fleetwood said in postgame comments to BNN.
