Diego Shuts Out Boston, 2-0
Monday, June 2nd , 1975
Larry Diego was in a mood to talk following the Baltimore Lords contest against the Boston Terriers, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Terriers, 2-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Diego said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Boston on a 5-hitter, allowing no walks and racking up 2 strikeouts.
This year, Diego has compiled a 5-1 mark with a 2.16 ERA in 11 starts.
