Red-Hot Haskett Cools Off Los Angeles
Wednesday, June 4th , 1975
Chicago's Mike Haskett brought his best stuff to San Vicente Park, shutting down and shutting out the Los Angeles Pobladores, 5-0. He racked up 4 strikeouts, surrendered 6 hits, and issued 3 walks on his way to the victory.
"We barely made him work at all," Los Angeles manager Kurt Peterson said later. "Chicago could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted."
This year, Haskett has registered 2 wins and 8 losses in 12 starts with a 6.25 ERA while registering 35 strikeouts and 34 walks in 76.1 innings.
