Cincinnati Bats Silenced by Conway
Saturday, July 3rd , 1976
Dick Conway was dynamite at Flatbush Park, blowing away the Cincinnati Packers in a shutout victory. The Brooklyn Bluebirds starter had everything working as he held the Packers to 5 hits in the 6-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Cincinnati skipper Martin Abresch. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Conway finished the game with 3 strikeouts and 3 walks.
This year, Conway has posted a 5-5 mark in 17 starts and has a 4.45 ERA.
