Razor-Sharp Cardenas Blanks Brooklyn Saturday, July 10th , 1976 The Brooklyn Bluebirds met their match today in Cleveland hurler Bruce Cardenas. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 5-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Brooklyn skipper John Meeker said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 3-0 victory, Cardenas whiffed 3 and gave up 3 walks.
