Schar Blanks Los Angeles, 3-0 Monday, July 19th , 1976 In a seemingly effortless performance, Bob Schar of the Montreal Habitants shot down the Los Angeles Pobladores, 3-0, on 6 hits. "Bob was just locating so well and using his pitches," Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Schar recorded 7 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Los Angeles manager Alex Wobbema said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." Schar has made 20 starts, tossed 139.2 innings, struck out 72 batters and walked 29.
