Los Angeles 2B Castillo Will Miss 6 Weeks Thursday, July 4th , 1974 Manuel Castillo of the Los Angeles Pobladores was injured in today's game against Chicago and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is tendinitis in his shoulder, and he is expected to be out for up to 6 weeks. It happened while Castillo was throwing the ball. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." Castillo is batting .217 this year with 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 258 at-bats. |
