Davis Too Tough, Blanks Montreal Friday, August 20th , 1976 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Montreal Habitants as starter Bill Davis shut them out, 3-0, at Atlantic Station Field. The Atlanta pitcher struck out 7 and walked 0 while allowing 7 hits. "Davis was good but he wasn't flawless," Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Atlanta, but this is on us."
