Pittsburgh Blanked by Wade, 3-0
Tuesday, August 24th , 1976
It was not a good day at the plate for the Pittsburgh Industrials. They came up empty when it mattered against Brooklyn Bluebirds left-hander Kevin Wade, who scattered 1 hit across 9 innings and held the Industrials scoreless.
"We had 1 hit so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker said later.
Wade chalked up 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 3-0 Bluebirds win.
To date, Wade has a 12-7 mark in 25 starts with a 2.92 ERA. He has given up 142 hits in 166.1 innings, struck out 105 and issued 29 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .228 batting average against him.
