Fulton Gets 500th Home Run

Swinging his way into the record books, Bill Fulton reached the 500 homer mark today at Hyde Park Stadium against the Chicago Hawks. He went 1-for-3 with 1 run batted in and 2 runs on the day, although Los Angeles would go down to defeat 6-4.
"It was a distraction," Fulton said of his 500th home run. "I'm happy it's over. I just wish I'd been able to make a difference in the outcome today."
Lifetime Fulton has compiled a .265 batting average and collected 2182 hits, 500 home runs and 1460 RBIs.
