Chicago Helpless Against Owen, Lose 6-0

Bruce Owen was dynamite at Hyde Park Stadium, blowing away the Chicago Hawks in a shutout victory. The Atlanta Generals starter had everything working as he held the Hawks to 3 hits in the 6-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Chicago skipper Mike Flaherty. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Owen finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks.
