Atlanta Generals right-hander Bill Davis used his full arsenal to shoot down the Chicago Hawks, 1-0. All day long, he exhibited fine command of all his pitches, giving up no walks and striking out 4. Davis allowed 6 hits in the victory.
"It felt like my catcher and I were on the same page all day, and Chicago was on a way, way different page," Davis said.
So far this year, Davis has made 29 starts, tossed 221 innings, struck out 123 batters and walked 34. His record is 15-5 with a 1.91 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .212 batting average.
