2000 Hits for Johnson Tuesday, August 31st , 1976 It was a banner day for Don Johnson, who collected his 2000th hit in the San Francisco 3-1 win over Toronto. Johnson went 3-for-5 in the game as both Seagulls and Hurons fans cheered Johnson when he reached base after his hit. "It feels great to get #2000," Johnson said afterward, "especially since we won the game." In his all-time stats Johnson is hitting .307 with 2000 hits, 53 home runs, 1143 runs scored and 571 RBIs.
