In a remarkable performance, Kansas City Bulls starter Skip Carter beat the Chicago Traders, 5-0, in an impressive 5-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Bulls hurler finished with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Chicago manager Larry Link said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
This season, Carter has compiled a 10-9 mark, 2.90 ERA and made 22 starts.
