Munoz Leads Pittsburgh to 4-0 Win Over Washington
Sunday, September 19th , 1976
In a seemingly effortless performance, Jeff Munoz of the Pittsburgh Industrials shot down the Washington Eagles, 4-0, on 5 hits.
"Jeff was just locating so well and using his pitches," Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Munoz recorded 1 strikeout and 1 walk in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Washington manager Brandon Tucker said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
On the season, Munoz has 14 wins and 11 losses and a 2.61 ERA.
