Northmen Blank Toronto, Forgette Winner
Sunday, June 22nd , 1975
Gary Forgette bent a little, but he didn't break against the Toronto Hurons. The Twin Cities Northmen pitcher hurled a 5-hit, 3-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 1 walk and tallying 1 strikeout.
"Gary is good at getting out of jams," Northmen manager Jason Gudim told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
This season, Forgette has worked 96.1 innings with 33 strikeouts en route to a 4-7 record and a 3.74 ERA.
