Bleicher Goes on Rampage Against Terriers
Tuesday, July 1st , 1975
Danny Bleicher exploded for a barrage of base hits at Dominion Field.
The Toronto center fielder had a field day in his team's 11-4 triumph over the Boston Terriers, finishing 5-for-6.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Bleicher must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Danny Bleicher doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ken Torkelson in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Bleicher is currently hitting at a .264 pace with 3 home runs and 20 RBIs.
