Hernandez Bashes 5 Base Hits Wednesday, July 30th , 1975 Eddie Hernandez was the King of Swing at Atlantic Avenue Grounds in the 7-6 Boston Terriers win over the Detroit Wolverines. The Boston center fielder stepped into the batter's box 5 times against Detroit and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. "Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-5 isn't bad for your batting average either." Eddie Hernandez doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
