Skip Crawford was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Milwaukee Dairymen on 4 hits.

"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley after the 1-0 loss to the Chicago Traders.

Crawford finished with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.

In the postgame press conference, Chicago manager Larry Link said Crawford "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."

So far this year Crawford has made 30 starts, tossed 214 innings, struck out 116 batters and walked 64. His record is 11-13 with a 3.62 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .237 batting average.
