Veteran Charrette Re-ups in Chicago Monday, October 25th , 1965 Hawks fans were divided today as Chicago confirmed that the front office has signed Al Charrette to a 2-year extension at a rate of $260,000 per year. While many were enthusiastically behind the signing, others worried about Charrette's age. In his lifetime, the 35-year-old Charrette has won 170 and lost 118, piling up 1861 strikeouts and 873 walks in 2627.1 innings with a 3.16 ERA. Opponents have hit .233 against him. |
