Tuesday, September 26th , 1967
Washington Eagles fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Billy Reed blanked the New York Knickerbockers, 1-0 at Monument Field today. Reed stopped them on 6 hits while walking 0 and striking out 8.

"Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Eagles skipper J P Scott said. "He was on top of his game in this one."

This year Reed has fanned 110 in 216.2 innings and collected a 13-14 record with a 3.53 ERA.
