Brooklyn Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Wednesday, September 14th , 1960 Fans of the Brooklyn Bluebirds will no doubt soon start turning their attention to next season -- if they haven't already. The team today was officially eliminated from playoff contention. This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1953.In total, the Bluebirds have missed the playoffs 64 times in their 78-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Bluebirds have only made the playoffs once. Brooklyn has won the World Series 8 times in their history. |
