Ragsdale Tames Baltimore Sunday, August 28th , 1977 Pete Ragsdale was in a mood to talk following the San Francisco Seagulls contest against the Baltimore Lords, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Lords, 5-0. "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Ragsdale said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again." The right-hander blanked Baltimore on a 6-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 4 strikeouts.
