Baird Spins 13-0 Shutout Against Washington
Saturday, August 23rd , 1975
The Washington Eagles were almost helpless in their 13-0 loss to the Cleveland Bobcats and hurler Myron Baird. Baird kept the Eagles confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Baird," Washington manager Brandon Tucker said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 25-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Baird said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

In 28 starts this season, Baird has rung up a 15-8 record and a 2.30 ERA.
